| Is there a headlight that will fit in the factory headlight case that will take a H4 replacement bulb. |

Yes and no.
Not for your factory headlight.
But if you get the factory headlight off a newer model (I believe '02 and up) then yes. It's the single most common 'upgrade' on this board.
Go from a 35/35 headlight to a 60/55 in twenty minutes, and still look good _________________

it's '03 and up. I personally recommned the headlight from jacks. Crazy bright, affordable, and a very simple swap. _________________ Beware! That is the aftermarket headlight that he sells, yes. Brand new, some small amount of wiring. Chosen because it looks so very much like the OEM piece.
However, the OEM piece from a newer bike may cost a bit less money. Provided you can find one, of course.
Healights are "measured" in terms of the wattage that the high beam burns, then this thing: / then the wattage of the low beam:
35/35 = 35 watt high beam / 35 watt low beam.
60/55 = 60 watt high beam / 55 watt low beam
60/80 = 60watt high beam / 80 watt low beam.
Etc. _________________

Not if you ask me.
I just recently posted about a serious issue I discovered with the factory harness.
Sorry, but I've been gone for three days, and there are six-hundred odd posts I have to peruse, so I just can't look for it right now.
At any rate, the factory harness is identical on the bikes that run the higher-output headlights, so Honda seems to think it's fine.
There _is_, however, and issue to be aware of. _________________

I found my replacement from an 05 bike on E-bay. Just look around. Jack is awesome. He's a super nice guy and doing business with him was an absolute pleasure. _________________ There are some days that even my lucky underpants cannot help! |
