Well thanks Duke.. On behalf of all Canadians let me apologize for scheduling our Thanksgiving so much earlier than yours. We just wanted to go shopping in the USA without the big crowds in the stores.
My daughter is in the UK and she told me she was planning a big turkey dinner at her house over there this weekend, so the custom is spreading.
Thanksgiving is not really as big a deal here as in the USA where it seems to be only a notch behind Christmas.

Thanks Duke, and Happy Columbus Day to all the Americans!
I have to say I really like the low expectations for Thanksgiving. No presents to buy, no decorating, just the family sitting down to a good meal together. Completely non commercial the way it should be.

Low expectations on Thanksgiving?!
Good food, properly cooked, and lots of it is a pretty tough nut to crack. Moreso on the post-meal clean up
